If talking about value, Lenovo is securing number two position in smartphone brand in our country – India and in total smartphone shipments, the company comes at third place, the IDC data states for 2016 Q1. The data of IDC describes the company Lenovo enjoys an attractive market share for 7.7% in this quarter following Micromax and Samsung in the segment. Though Samsung is yet leading in smartphone vendors in India with more than 25.1 % market share; on other side, Micromax secures 12.9% market share.
A Big Market Share Is Enjoyed By Lenovo In Terms Of Value In India-
In India, Lenovo enjoys a bigger share by value which is more than 9.1% in 2016 Q1, IDC reports suggest by which it comes at second position wholly. The company has experienced growth quarter on quarter for 14.2%. Thus, the higher share by value brings it ahead of renowned top brands like Apple, Oppo and Micromax.
It is quite interesting to see Oppo to do a good job in getting a position in this segment in Indian market complimenting the Oppo’s selfie-focused F1 Plus model.
In the press release of Lenovo India – Mr. Sudhin Mathur – the Director of Smartphones of Lenovo stated, “This is a huge milestone achieved by us, which has motivated and encouraged us further to go against all odds by creating meaningful and innovative, technologically-advanced products that enhance the consumer mobile experience.”.
In Berlin during IFA 2016, Lenovo gave a confirm statement about its plan to launch the new smartphone lineups in India. During this event, Lenovo displayed many of its upcoming smartphone models including Vibe P2, A Plus, K6 series and K6 Note. Though Lenovo has not yet given any update on when it will launch K6 Note in India; though Vibe P2 may arrive in India soon which is a battery centric smartphone of Lenovo.
